Important: Do not move on to the next lesson until you can type with 0% errors. Accuracy is crucial for beginners, even more than speed.
In this lesson, you’ll practice typing the new top row keys, T and Y, while also working on the keys you’ve already learned: ASDF JKL; GH. We’ve also gone over the bottom row keys like C, V, M, and the comma, as well as the top row keys E, R, U, and I.

The Right – Left Hand
- For typing T, use your left index finger, and for Y, use your right index finger.
- After typing T or Y, return your fingers to their original positions on the F and J keys.
Touch typing develops muscle memory through repeated practice, making your movements more natural for faster and easier typing.
