In this lesson, you’ll practice typing the home row keys (ASDF JKL;), the top row (R U) and the bottom row (V M). Start by positioning your fingers on the home row and type the words above.

The Bottom Row
The bottom row of keys is located just above the space bar and below the home row. It includes the letter keys Z, X, C, V, B, as well as N, M, Comma (,), and Period (.). The Shift key located on the left side of the keyboard can be used to type symbols like <, >, /, and ?.
The Right – Left Hand
- Place your left index finger on F and your right index finger on J.
- Press V with your left index and M with your right, then return to F and J.
Touch typing develops muscle memory through repeated practice, making your movements more natural for faster and easier typing.
